2nd INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS MEETING ON REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE
MEETING THE EXPERTS
The second edition of the ‚Meeting the Experts‘ International Congress will be held in the auditorium at Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante next week, on 30th September and 1st October. The event will bring together around twenty speakers and international leaders in the field of fertility and will cover the modern-day challenges of reproduction issues.
More than one hundred attendees from different parts of the world will meet over seven scientific sessions in Alicante to discuss recent developments.
The event will begin by looking at the new healthcare options which an understanding of embryo genetics offers: pharmacogenetics, the effect of telomeres on egg ageing by David Keefe from New York University. It will conclude with studies on mitochondrial DNA in patients with poor ovarian response which shall be given by Kutluk Oktay, also from New York. A further two sessions will cover progress under way in terms of healthcare and diagnosis for patients suffering from poor ovarian response: new lines of ovarian stimulation and the use of biomarker studies for correct diagnosis.
Leading figures in the field of reproductive medicine, such as Dr Kawamura and Eva Dimitriadis from Australia, will participate in the sessions taking place on Saturday. These will cover the latest developments in knowledge of the embryo and endometrial receptivity in order to optimise adherence for pregnancy. As Rafael Bernabeu, the medical director of Instituto Bernabeu, the clinic organising the international event, explains: „The aim of the congress is to generate a debate and to reach common ground based on the different opinions and lines of research.“
